The Busy Mom's Kitchen: How To Make A Simple Breakfast Casserole

Crock pots are the new American idols. Healthy slow cooker recipes are stealing the limelight from the regularly prepared meals. Sorry, microwaves and non-stick pans.

Next we were all served a nicely sized Caesar Salad. The ingredients were all very fresh, and the dressing was generous and wonderful. After 20-30 minutes the main meals arrived. The meal choices were: Spaghetti with meatballs or sausage stew, Lasagna, Fettuccini Alfredo, and Ravioli. The portions were HUGE, and everyone said their dinner was fantastic. My husband and I ordered the spaghetti, I chose meatballs and he chose sausage stew. Mine came with two very large homemade meatballs, and his came with several sausage stew links. The sauces were outstanding and the meal was divine.

I had a Rolliburger sausage butterbean stew it was delicious. The meat was fresh and juicy, it was cooked perfectly (slightly red in the center), and topped off with crisp lettuce, tomatoes and onions, ketchup, mustard and mayo. I love cheeseburgers, and this is the best I've ever had.

For your main dishes, there are choices from meat, fish, and poultry; and if it is a cut of meat that needs extra cooking to be tender, you can fix a slow cooker slow cooker sausage casserole with baked beans with added vegetables.

I admit, I am not a morning person, combine that with a house full of people to get out the door (two of them being preschoolers) and the need to avoid rush hour traffic and long drop off lines at the school and a morning routine or schedule is not only helpful, but essential. Of course as my children grew up my oldest is these routines change but there are few tips I slow cooker sausage casserole can share for preventing morning madness.

A few months before she shed her earthly bonds, I prompted her with a simple request. "Would you mind writing down some of your recipes?". "Of course, I would love to", she said, as if she had just been waiting for someone to ask.

Six to eight people can comfortably finish off this recipe but the casserole can be saved for a number of days in a covered container and used as different meals. Again, experiment with using the casserole as filling for a number of Mexican dishes. For an even more authentic Mexican experience, opt for cotija cheese, a product of Mexico with a real unique flavor, instead of cheddar or jack and use refried beans instead of hash browns. Cooking times remain the same.
